5. Sanding and Finishing
Once the glue is completely dry, remove the clamps and thoroughly sand the entire magazine rack, starting with a coarser grit sandpaper and gradually moving to finer grits. This will smooth out any imperfections and prepare the surface for finishing. Remove all sanding dust with a tack cloth. At this point, you can apply a wood stain if desired. After the stain has dried, apply your chosen finish according to the manufacturer's instructions. Multiple coats of finish are recommended for added protection and durability.
